I had a great day today thanks to sales and coupons. I made a stop at two different Walgreens so that I do not clear the shelves at one store. It's so much better to spread things out. Another idea (good for Kroger too) is to shop at the beginning of a sale and then at the end.
Walgreens looked a bit like this:
5Cases of Coke Zero 3.50 each -$2/1 store coupon that took off $10 ($1.50 each)
4packs of Orbit Gum on sale for .99 each used a store coupon that took off .30 each and Two B1G1 coupons that made two of them free. (or 4 for $0.35 each)
4 Boxes of Pedia Care (Fever/Pain Reducer, Cold, Allergy medicines for Infants and Children) Two were 5.99 and two were 7.99. Used two -$3/2 manufacture coupons and a store coupon that was -$5/1 which took off $20. ($0.25 each)

Hooray Kate online!
ReplyDeleteHere's a question. You talk about doubling up on coupons, but I've been turned down several times. How do you know when (and where) you can stack your coupons? We mostly shop at Kroger.
Kroger is in transition right now. Some stores will allow you to use a digital coupon with a paper one and others will not. With Kroger I load them to my card and give them paper coupons at the register.
ReplyDeleteWhen I double at Kroger it means they take a $.25 coupon and the computer doubles it to $0.50.
Walgreens and CVS both allow you to Stack store coupons and manufacture coupons. Always give them the manufacture coupon first b/c the store coupon might give you "overage" so that you get paid to take the item.
I would be glad to talk to you guys in person sometime about it. We've yet to meet your sweet girl.
Hooray! I am so glad you are feeling the spirit's nudge toward this. You have no idea the blessing it has been in our lives. On the coupon note, I was SO BUMMED today to realize that I forgot to cancel the subscribe and save that I had set up for the pampers wipes. Oops. You win some; you lose some. I actually do not like these wipes at all because they are scented. I have ALWAYS used the natural/gentle/hypo/etc. Anyway...I have 720 headed to my house tomorrow. Do you want any? (free of course) Otherwise, they will be donated to my babies's daycare. Then I will NEVER have to bring wipes again. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the offer...I'm the same. Most of the scented actually make the smell worse instead of masking it. If they are individually packed why not use them as shower gifts? Carly and Amber both will have one sometime after spring break.
