Mega Event at Kroger

A new mega event (buy ten participating items and get $5 off at the register. Prices already reflect the $5 off) starts tomorrow (Wed. 3/16) at Kroger. There are several things you can get for under a $1 and you can walk out with cheap tuna and free pasta. Remember for a mega event you have to buy the # stated. For this it is multiples of ten, mix and match. So you can buy 50 items and get $5 off 5 times. Also remember it is mix and match so you dont have to buy 10 of one item.

Dannon Yogurt is $1.49 minus a $1 Q = $0.49
Heluva Good Dips 99¢ minus a doubled $0.50 Q  = Free!
Kraft Singles, 16 ct., $1.99 minus a $1 Q = $0.99
Philadelphia Cooking Cremes, 10 oz, $1.99 minus a $1.50 Q  = $0.49
Kim & Scott’s Frozen Pretzels 2 ct, $1.78 8minus a $1 Q = $0.78
Bumble Bee Tuna Pouches, 2.5 oz., 49¢
Ronzoni Garden Delight, Healthy Harvest or Smart Taste Pasta 12-13.5 oz., 49¢ minus a $1/2 Q = Free!
Vitaminwater, 20 oz., 49¢
Sunny Delight 64 oz. 89¢ minus a doubled $0.25 Q = $0.39!

Those are just some of my favorites.

Also supposed to be on sale but not part of the mega event:

General Mills cereals (Cheerios, Lucky Charms...) $2.18
There are several $0.55 Qs that will double to take off $1.10 so $1.08 a box!
Kraft Cheese Bar or Shredded, 5-8 oz., $1.99 minus a $1 Q = $0.99

Again, these are just some favorites. Check out the full list at

  1. do the sets of 10 have to be in separate transactions?

  2. No! Just in sets of ten. I always take reuseable shopping bags with me and when I get to ten I put them in the bag. That way I don't have to count at the end. Like today, I bought 80 participating items. I got to ten, put them in the bag and started counting my next set of ten. This is also good if they are out of things on your list and you've got to throw in a filler. Today someone had bought ALL of the Heluva Good Dip and Frenches Spicy Brown Mustard. Probably b/c the dip would be free and the mustard would be $0.19. I added in three of the lowest priced sale items (Vitamin Water, Bumble Bee Tuna) at $0.49.
